Happy Thanksgiving

Tomorrow is Turkey day. I'm so lucky, my mom is here to cook. yum yum yum. She came when Rory got hurt to help me out. She's been great. I know she's gotta be home sick and miss my dad and tired of sleeping on a futon. My dad is driving down today to spend the holiday with us.

Rory had his Surgery last Wednesday. He's doing good, just sore still. He tried driving yesterday, but it hurt too bad. he's sore today from trying it. Plus he's still in a sling and one handed driving can't be too safe. I can't wait until he can hold the baby for me. Nolan, by the way is getting huge. Every morning he seems heavier. He has his 2 month appointment on Monday. I can't wait to see how much he ways. He is wearing 6-9 month clothes now. We call him our big little man.

I got my new phone yesterday. It was so weird being without a phone for days. I'm addicted to my cell phone.

Next Friday we are going up to stay at my folks for a few days. Dec 2nd Rory is going to a steelers game at Heinz field with his dad. That is his Christmas present from me. He's super excited. We got them pretty good seats too. He's hoping it snows so he can watch them play in the snow. I hope it snows while we are up there too. I would love to play in some snow.

Tops the list

I've done some dumb things in my life, but today I dropped my cell phone in the toilet. It was in my sweatshirt pocket and I leaned over to take Colleen's potty seat off the toilet and in it went. Luckily, just hours before it happened I ordered a new phone on the internet. So, I'll just be without a phone for a few days.

CAUTION

The lid on my travel mug reads "Caution: Hot beverages may cause burns" I'm so glad somebody thought of putting this on the mug or I never would have known. They could have possibly saved me from a lot of pain and suffering caused by a hot beverage burn.

what a day

My mom stayed with us last week. It was so nice. She took me shopping and allowed me to try on clothes while she watched the kids. She also cooked dinners and played a lot with Colleen. Yesterday my parents went home, then last night I got a phone call that Rory got hurt playing football and was taking an ambulance ride. Turns out he broke his collar bone 3 times. He does so much around the house and with the kids, but now he's got 3-4 month recovery. stinks. He has either surgery or resetting the bone on Thursday. ouch! Poor guy. My mom is my hero though. She's already on the way back down to help out this week and take him to the doctor and help with the baby. I still feel bad that Rory can't even pick up his baby boy for awhile. My mom will be here in about 4 hours. hooray.
Oh, and I hate daylight savings time. People with young children don't gain an hour of sleep. Colleen's internal alarm clock has been waking me up at 530 since time change. I say NO MORE DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME!!! BRIAN, REMEMBER WHEN I WROTE ALL MY EMAILS IN CAPS?
