CAUTION
The lid on my travel mug reads "Caution: Hot beverages may cause burns" I'm so glad somebody thought of putting this on the mug or I never would have known. They could have possibly saved me from a lot of pain and suffering caused by a hot beverage burn.

I think they put it their to save themselves. Don't want you suing them because you put a hot liquid in there and then spilled it on yourself.
