Hockey

Last night we took Colleen to her first ever hockey game. It was fun. She had a blast. She was also super excited, because we were driving to the game in snow. She doesn't get to see snow at home. We so need to move somewhere with snow. Tomorrow we leave Grandma and Grandad's and head back to NC. Colleen is sure going to miss them after being spoiled for 2 weeks. We've had a lot of fun with them. Before we go though, we get to watch one more episode of 24 tonight with my dad. I have to take control of the remote away from my dad during 24. For some reason during the intense parts, his finger keeps pushing down on the volume up button until it is ridiculously loud. I have to take it away so he doesn't wake Colleen up. Then I would miss the show trying to get her to sleep. I hope Jack can save the country again this season.

24

If anybody is following season 6 of 24, all I can say is "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" I don't know how much longer I can continue to watch it. It is soo intense for little me. Tonight my heart was racing and I think at one point it stopped beating for a second. That might have been because I wasn't breathing. I have to remind myself to breath sometimes when I'm watching 24.

What?

Today we were shopping at the Giant. It is a pretty nice grocery store with a lot of yummy organic foods. Anyways, we were checking out and there was a young kid working the register. I would say he was still in high school. He was a very nice young man. My dad was having a conversation with him as our groceries were being scanned and bagged. I don't know what the conversation was about, but my dad said something like "I don't want to make it difficult." The kid looked at my dad with a puzzled look and said "Difficult, that isn't a word you hear in everyday language." His comment took me off guard. It was one of those things that you just can't believe.

The most amazing toothbrush

My parents got me a sonicare toothbrush for Christmas. I love that thing. It makes my mouth feel so clean and happy. I will never go back to a regular toothbrush. Now when I brush my teeth its like a party for my mouth. I highly recommend everybody to get a sonicare.

Have you ever

Have you ever owned a pair of pants where the zipper was a downer and It just did not want to stay up? I wore a pair of pants like that today and when I got home from playing at the park with Colleen I realized the zipper had been down all that time. The park was quite busy today too, because it was so warm. I wonder how many people saw my red ducky undies.

New Year Dinner

Rory grew up eating pork, sauerkraut and potatoes on new year's day. I am not a big fan of that menu, so I like to make something fun for our new year dinner. This year I made super supreme bbq chicken nachos. So yummy. Rory and I polished off the whole tray ourselves. I have a habit of overstuffing myself with delicious foods.
