Colorado

We got back from Colorado Monday morning around 2am. I'm still super tired from the trip. It will take a few days to catch up I think. It was a good trip, but went by too fast. Being back out west and seeing the beautiful mountains made it hard to come back to North Carolina. (Today was muggy with a heat index of 103.) I hope one day soon we will beable to live back out that way somewhere.
Andrew's wedding went great. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding near the mountains. He didn't seem nervous at all. The day started out rainy, but the sun came out and the weather was perfect by wedding time.
Our flights there went smooth. We flew Southwest there. The flight attendants were super nice. Colleen got a certificate for her first flight and wings and they gave her lots of attention. My parents even got an anniversary song courtesy of the Southwest flight attendant. The trip back we flew Air Tran. Very crabby people work for Air Tran. Both flights were cranky and weren't enjoyable. They just seemed like they didn't want to have anthing to do with the passengers. They just wanted to get drinks served and be done. Word of advice NEVER fly on Air Tran.
It was good to be home and see Rory though. Props to him for having the house clean and my bedroom rearranged when I got home. Oh, and he cleaned the garage. Maybe I should go on trips more often. Just kidding

1 week

A week from today we will be flying to Colorado for my big brothers wedding. Colleen has been sick and cranky, so I hope she's better by the time we travel. This is my first time traveling since before I had Colleen. I'm kinda excited. I am now welcomed into the world of pre-boarding. Yessss!!! I heard that if I tell the flight crew that this is Colleen's first flight they make a big deal about it and give her wings and stuff. I think it is going to be fun. I'm only sad Rory can't go. His birthday is Monday. He has to work long hours all next week though. I think I might do something fun this weekend for his birthday. Ice Cream cake from Dairy Queen sounds like a good idea.
Today I went to the post office and asked for stamps and the guy pulled out a folder with a ton of cool stamps. Usually they give me the same old boring stamps. Today I got Ronald Reagan and Disney stamps. They had a ton of cool ones though. Next time you go to the post office ask if you can look in the folder of cool stamps.

Kitchen

We got Colleen a toy kitchen. She loves it. She is soo funny. Now when I ask her something while she's playing with her kitchen she says "busy cook" So funny. One of the joys of being a parent is watching your child get excited about stuff. Yesterday we took her to a museum and there were model trains there. She loves trains. She was so excited watching the model trains. She was still talking about it all day today. This morning she brought her doll Meemee(she named her) to church. While we were getting ready for church she told meemee "go church, sing, prayers, shhhhhhhh." So adorable. Ok. I could talk about my child all day. Iron Chef America is on. I must go watch it now. Love that show.

HOT!!!

It is sooo stinking hot. Today's high is 100 with a heat index of 110 or above. Last night I went to bed at 10:30 and the heat index was still 95 degrees. I have air conditioning, but it is not high quality AC. When it is hot like it is, it runs constantly and can't cool the upstairs that well. I just feel like complaining, because I am not a hot weather person. I'll take the cold over the heat any day. Once the heat gets to a certain point, I don't think it matters how hot it is any more. Hot is hot. I'm almost out of popsicles too.
