Kids are so much fun

My kids make me laugh so much. I love them. A million times a day they say something or do something so silly. My days are never boring for sure.

Still Recovering

We've been home since Sunday, but I am still recovering from our trip. Trying to catch up on laundry and unpacking and sleep. Nolan came down with a minor cold when we got home, so he has been a little cranky the past few days. We had a lot of fun seeing family and friends though. We always have a good time in Montana and Idaho. I'm really looking forward to next summer. Hopefully Rory will be home all summer and we can go on a family vacation. Even though we had a lot of fun, I really missed sharing the trip with him. The kids were such good travelers. I was so proud of them.

Big new today: Nolan went on the potty!!! Such a big boy. It took a lot of sitting on it and reading, but he did it!! He was so happy about it too. Colleen really helped. She sat in there and talked to him and read to him until he went. It was so cute. She is so proud that she is potty training her little brother. So sweet.

Georgetown Lake

The other day we spent a little time out at the lake. The kids had a lot of fun. It was Colleen's first time fishing. She loved the fact that she was using marshmallows as bait. She had a lot of fun eating them while she watched her line. Of course we just gave Nolan his hockey stick and he had a blast playing rock hockey. His hockey stick always keeps him busy. Later today we are heading on to Idaho for two days. The kids are really excited to stay in a hotel with a pool. Should be a good time.

Poor Cat

Ok, most everybody who knows me know that I am not a big cat fan. I'm a dog person. I haven't had many good experiences with cats. My neighbors have two cats that just roam around. Most the time they irritate me, but one of them has had a cone on his head since February. Every morning I wake up, he is curled up under my tree looking up so sad at me. I actually feel bad for the little thing. Mostly on cold mornings. Makes me want to steal him and find a family that would love him.

We cut a strawberry and it had a perfect heart in it. How sweet.
