Night glow
Last night I woke up in the middle of the night with a sudden thought to make sure I turned the oven off. I knew I turned it off, but my mind always forces me to question myself. I inherited this paranoia from my mom. Whenever we went anywhere growing up, we would all pile in the car and start down the driveway when we were always then stopped so that mom could make sure either the coffee pot was off or the door was locked.
So, I got out of bed and headed to the kitchen. As I approached the stove, a bright glow out my kitchen window caught my attention. I looked out the window and found myself unable to look away. I stood there for about five minutes in awe of the beauty. The way the snow reflected the moon's glow made it so bright out and this feeling of calmness came over me. It was so peaceful. It has been so long since I've seen the moon shine off the snow like that. I'm so glad to be back where I can enjoy winter. After watching out the window, I went back to bed and quickly drifted back off to sleep with a warm fuzzy feeling.

I love the sky when it is snowing outside at night or if it is a clear night reflecting off the snow or if the sky looks like snow. I think you can smell snow in the air sometimes too. Ah, snow.
I like this blog. I felt like I was reading a book--I could really visualize what you wrote
I love winter
